Psychoeducational and Neuropsychological Services and Staff Professionals
An assessment consists of a battery of tests given to assess a variety of brain-based functions in children and adolescents. These evaluations often involve three to six hours of formal testing determined by the age of the child and the nature of the clinical issues to be addressed. Our evaluation team lead by Dr. Elizabeth Conder includes Dawn Baker, MA/CAS, Tawney Sankey, MA, Toni Shelow, Ed.S., Psy.D., Richard Blalock, Ph.D., and Mary deBeus, Ph.D.
This team specializes in diagnosing ADHD, learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and neuropsychological disorders providing written reports and recommendations to assist parents, guardians, teachers and family members to understand the situation and help the child succeed at home and at school.
Dr. deBeus specializes in psychological and neuropsychological evaluations of adolescents and adults. Her areas of assessment expertise include brain injury in adults, adolescent psychopathology and parental competency. She also has experience tailoring assessments for consultation of DSS-related issues with court systems.
