iSPOT-D: International Study to Predict Optimized Treatment for Depression

This is an international study to investigate genetic, brain structure and function, and cognitive factors that predict drug treatment response and non-response and that distinguish individuals with major depression from healthy individuals. The goal is to find brain markers that will help your doctor know if you have depression and know if medication will help and which one will be most helpful. Skyland Behavioral Health Associates is one of twenty neuroscience research sites in the USA, Canada, UK, South Africa, New Zealand, The Netherlands, and Australia selected to participate in this study. iSPOT-D is the largest study of neurophysiological markers for depression that has ever been conducted.

We are currently seeking adults 18-65 years of age who:

  • are medically healthy, or
  • have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder and have no recent use of antidepressant medication.

Volunteers will be compensated for their participation. For more information, please call the Skyland Behavioral Health Associates at (828)252-2501
